UQA-UP Open Access Found


The contract between the Universitas Quinqueecclesiensis Foundation and the University provides the opportunity to finance (based on an invoice) the costs of Open Access publications with DOI identifiers accepted for publication after 01 January 2024.

The conditions for support are:

Publications accepted for publication after 01 January 2024 (accepted in hybrid or open access journals; in early view or published) with DOI ID, if they

  • • are listed in Scopus and/or Web of Science databases;
  • • have been published in a journal rated SJR Q2 or higher according to the Scimago Journal Ranking;
  • • their first, last or corresponding author is a PTE teacher, researcher or a PhD student at PTE;
  • • the author sending in the publication has correctly affiliated the University of Pécs, Hungary (PTE) and one of its departments in the manuscript.

Requirements regarding the invoice

The invoice for the publication fee should be issued under the name of one of the authors of the article who is affiliated with the University of Pécs (this can be the corresponding, first or last author of the article).
The invoice should include the university information in the fields for additional information. The university details needed to issue the invoice are available at: https://adminisztracio.pte.hu/az_egyetem_adatai  

In the case of invoices issued by Hungarian publishers, it is obligatory to indicate the group identification number of the University of Pécs: 17783941-5-02 and, if possible, the university's VAT number: 19308681-4-02.

For invoices issued by EU taxpayers, the international VAT number of the University must be indicated: HU 17783941, for other foreign (non-EU) invoices, no VAT number is required.

How to apply for the funding:

To receive support for Open Access publishing, the corresponding author must request an invoice from the publisher after the article has been accepted. Once you have received the invoice, you can upload it to https://go.tkp.hu/oa-urlap. 

To fill in the form, log in to your university Office 365 account (EHA/Neptun code and associated password).

The funding cannot be used for APCs in journals covered by the Contractual agreements.
